Real Live Hobbits!

Well, actually they're long dead, and they weren't actually hobbits, but... Remains of New Species of Hobbit-Sized Human Found:
"LONDON (Reuters) - Scientists in Australia have found a new species of hobbit-sized humans who lived about 18,000 years ago on an Indonesian island in a discovery that adds another piece to the complex puzzle of human evolution."

Woah. I wonder when they're going to find Legolas, fossilized...

Saturday!

Eberron! Saturday the 16th! My house! 12:30-8! Expecting Gus, Doug, and Ben, others are welcome, just show up with an Eberron character sheet (not necessarily filled out, you can get them off of wizads.com)! Remember to use Standard Point Buy, described at the beginning of the chapter "Characters" in your DMG!

More Eberron

Alright, I have decided to not use the Eberron campaign. However, I will need some info from all players: Race, Affiliations, Organizations, Religion, Region of Origin. And I also have a question: Are we meeting on the 16th, and if so, when and where? UPDATE: I'd also like to know what part you played in the Last War, if any, why you're in Sharn, and how you know each other.

I be a CN gnome bard, who currently worships Fharlangrh (or however you spell it). I have no idea about the rest of that stuff... I'm guessing I need an ECS.

Ok, Doug, you can't worship Fharlanghn. No such god. For you, as a bard, I'd reccomend Olladra, God of Feast and Good Fortune. You prolly didn't fight in the Last War, and you're prolly from Zilargo. Just mark that down on your character sheet somewhere.

Eberron

I am ready for Eberron, were it not for one thing: I don't have the actual campaign. It only costs $10, but I recently spent $30 on my ECS and I now have to worry about three birthdays and Christmas in the next 3 months. This is why I am requesting, for all willing people, a PURELY VOLUNTARILY donation system, to be given to me one week from today at the RJ campaign. If you wish to get Eberron up and rolling, this is how to do it.

Umm... Ben? The whole point of bothering to have people buy the Eberron stuff and to start an Eberron campaign was because I thought that this campaign would be really freaking cool!

At 2:45 PM, Blogger Igor said...

Ben, one other thing: the campaign is meant for lvl 4 characters. What level are you guys? 4. You're going to gain XP, and I'd rather not have you level up earlier than you should. So, unless you want to level down, I suggest we play the booklet campaign.

Oh Dear

This is not good... Dungeons & Dragons - Official Roleplaying Soundtrack:
"Ancient underground temples, dark knights, mysterious labyrinths, sorcerors, forgotten tombs, enchanted forests, and creatures await you on this new release containing over an hour of orchestral music from the masters of gothic/horror soundscape. It's the ultimate musical accompaniment to the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS roleplaying game, and promises to take listeners on an epic adventure through the darkest corners of their imagination."

To paraphrase, it must be cast into the fires of Mt. Doom!

I don't need to actually go into why this is so very, very wrong, do I?

Eberron

My ECS is here, and I would like to point out the four new Eberron races: Changeling, Kalashtar, Shifter, Warforged. Changelings are a crossbread of dopplegangers and humans. Kalashtar are part-psionic and part-human, however, since I will not allow psions, I'll treat these like monsters: you might find one, but you won't be one. Shifters are also shapeshifters, slight less powerful in combar, but more powerful shifters. Warforged are powerful melee fighters, and are constructs.

"Combar"?

At 5:28 PM, Blogger Igor said...

Yes. Combar. It's a new Eberron term meaning, roughly, "The smashing in of Doug's bard's face. And possibly Doug's face."

At 2:58 PM, Blogger Igor said...

Ben, warforged do not suck, they simply take some penalties because other things are really frigging awesome! I also highly reccomend at least one shifter in the party, and Ben, they're mainly rangers. You may want to consider one.

Demo

The demo for my RoD RPG is out. Download it here. You'll need to do three things to run it: 1) Unzip the file using WinZip. 2) Unzip the inner file (a LZH), also with WinZip. 3) Run Setup.exe. You are now ready to test the program, it should be called RoD.exe. The demo ends after the vampire.

ECS

My ECS is in the mail, however, I lack the funds for the campaign. If I see any of y'all, you may donate to me to get the Eberron campaign up and running faster. Toodles.

Eberron

Folks, 99% chance of Eberron happening, seeing as how tomorrow I'm ordering the Campaign Setting. I need a list of people who want to play. If four or more people play, lvl 4 characters. If less than that, lvl 5 characters. Only PHB races allowed. Subraces not allowed either. Standard point buy, 25 points (See DMG, pg. 169). No magic items with CL greater than 5 for the prereqs. 9,000 gp. I suggest you also order an ECS if you're playing. Check out the Barnes & Noble website, you can get them CHEAP there. More to come, possibly, later.
